It is against all that cannot be fully rationalized and empirically proven, therefore it is against God because the limited human reason cannot fully comprehend God. The Cross is very essential for our salvation, in fact man's salvation was wrought on the cross of Calvary. There is great value in the Cross for God walks us to perfection through the cross.
